Earthworks recognised by SMU Cox School of Business and included on the 2019 D100 list

Over the last 22 years a lot has changed here at Earthworks.  When you’re “in it” everyday, it’s sometimes difficult to grasp just how much things have changed and how much we’ve grown over the years.

Every now and then, something happens that forces you to reconcile where you see yourself with where others see you and it can be eye opening in both positive and negative ways.  Either way, these moments are valuable, some for both learning and improving but also at times for validation. One of those moments came a couple of months ago as Earthworks was recognized by SMU Cox School of Business and included on the 2019 D100 list.

This list represents the 100 fastest growing, most innovative, and most fiscally responsible companies in North Texas.  When thinking about the countless dynamic businesses and incredible entrepreneurs in our area, it took some time for this wonderful honor to sink in.  It’s almost unbelievable based on the competition that a landscape company would be included (although we aren’t the first),  then to think that we’re that company is truly hard to grasp.  Once I had time to reflect, I was filled with both pride and motivation.  I’m so blessed to work with such a dynamic team here at Earthworks, I truly believe that this team well deserves this recognition, they truly are spectacular.  This recognition is also very motivating.  Although we’ve come a long way over the years, we still have a long way to go.  We do a lot of things well but we have a lot we can improve on.  I’m motivated to continue to improve, not so that we can be recognized, but so that we can be a company worthy of recognition.  That’s what our clients deserve.  Happy spring to all!!!
