Job Purpose:
The foreman is an experienced construction team member capable of running project installation unsupervised. The foreman position is a first line supervision position. The position directs the activities of laborers at a job site. The foreman is a labor/supervisory position is able to operate a variety of equipment and has a working knowledge of horticultural, safety, irrigation, and management practices.
Job Duties:
- Controls, manages, supervises and actively participates in the activities of any number of projects at various stages of work to ensure the accurate completion of the project
- Inspects, diagnoses and corrects malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and/or components using appropriate testing equipment and/or tools
- Inspects electrical equipment, and/or components to identify hazards, defects, necessary adjustments, repairs, and ensure code compliance
- Digs trenches, either by use of hand tools or power equipment
- Provides material take‐offs for facilities equipment
- All other duties as assigned for the successful execution and/or completion of various projects whether or not specifically assigned.
- Responsible for overseeing and maintaining safety protocols and requirements on jobsites
- Monitors labor and job performance

- Knowledge of organizational and safety operations and procedures, safety methods and practices
