Job Purpose:
The purpose of the landscape drivers is to work outdoors to improve the functional or aesthetic value of a property. They may create or improve lawns, gardens, decks, patios and other landscape features. Landscape drivers make use of many hand tools and products as well as motorized tools and sometimes construction vehicles. Drivers typically perform tasks, which may include any combination of the following: sod laying, planting plants and trees, mowing, trimming, watering, digging, spreading dirt, raking, pruning, mulching, and loading and unloading materials with the added responsible of driving the crew around to the different work locations. As a driver, Earthworks, Inc. will provide you with safe, dependable transportation. In turn, you are entrusted to use good judgment and have a complete understanding of the responsibilities involved, both of which are necessary to continue to drive a company‐provided vehicle on company business. Use of a company vehicle is considered a privilege and Earthworks, Inc. insists that all employees operate in a safe and economical manner all vehicles owned or used by Earthworks, Inc.
Job Duties:
- Controls and actively participates in the labor and activities of any number of projects at various stages of work to ensure the accurate completion of the project
- Responsible for ensuring that their work performance adheres to safety and work performance standards comply with company and other agency regulations
- Work outdoors to improve the functional or aesthetic value, perform maintenance and repairs at the jobsite assigned
- Delivers timely and effective work product to ensure optimal performance
- Interfaces with customers and coworkers in a positive and professional manner
- Assists other areas and works at the direction of supervision
- Follows project schedules to ensure timely delivery of project goals and expectations
- May operate heavy equipment or equipment that requires technical expertise or specialized training
- Initiates communication of necessary information with supervisor
- May require 100% travel to various job sites
- All other duties as assigned for the successful execution and/or completion of various projects whether or not specifically assigned

- Knowledge of current OSHA, federal and state standards in the landscape industry
- Available to work multiple schedules to include irregular shifts, overtime, and/or on‐call shifts as required to ensure project continuity
- Ability to multi‐task and establish priorities
- Exhibits initiative, responsibility, teamwork, and flexibility
- Ability to be proactive when approaching tasks, challenges and/or situations
- Verbal communication skills
- Bi‐lingual (English/Spanish) desired
- Criminal background that adheres to EEOC and other government regulations as it relates to specific projects and expectations.
Education, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Some education desired
- Valid Driver License with no more than 2 driving violations
- 22 years or older due to insurance requirements
