Shining a Spotlight on Our Team: Diana Licea

Our company started over 40 years ago, and we could never have dreamt what it would become. We know that our success is directly related to our team members’ passion and hard work. Around here, we aren’t just colleagues, we are a family. We stick together through the good times and the bad. We are so proud of each of our team members and love the chance to share who they are at work and in their own lives. We hope you enjoy learning about our awesome team members as much as we do.

This month we are shining the spotlight on Diana Licea. Diana has been with us for just over 2 years and works diligently as our Executive Assistant and as our Billing and Clerical Assistant at our head office. Diana keeps our operations running smoothly and ensures our team is prepared for whatever may come. Diana is a caring person who loves to help others and loves that her job allows her to be involved in nearly every aspect of our business. When asked what she loves about working at EarthWorks, Diana said, “I love that there is always room to grow within the company and that EarthWorks is very family-oriented.” We hear this a lot from our team members and are so proud that they are as fond of us as we are of them!

Diana was born in Yadkenville, NC, and raised in Danville, IL, where she received her Associate’s degree from Danville Area Community College. Following graduation, she attended Northwood University in Cedar Hill, TX where she received her Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a major in Accounting. Diana returned to her hometown, where she spent over a decade working in office administration before accepting a position at EarthWorks. In April 2020, she made the leap and moved back to Texas. We thank her for that decision 😊

Outside of work, Diana loves to spend time with her family. Her children are the pride of her life, and she is their #1 fan at all of their sporting events. She has a wonderful husband who loves to work on projects around the house, which she is grateful for and supports. Diana and her family have had countless trips across the country, where they have visited the Bean in Chicago, the beaches of Florida, the mountains of Colorado, the desert of Las Vegas, and Mexico. She loves to travel with her family and is excited to make more memories in more places. 

Since we are a landscaping company, we always ask our team members about their favorite plants or flowers when creating these spotlights. When we asked Diana, she immediately told us that red roses are her favorite as her father gave them to her for special occasions when she was growing up. What a sweet gesture and memory!

We are so happy to have Diana on our team. Her skills and effortless ability to keep our office running smoothly are very much appreciated.
