Shining the Spotlight on Our Team: Heriberto “Eddie” Ramirez

Meet Herbierto “Eddie” Ramirez, our exceptional General Manager at our Lillian Branch. Eddie has dedicated an impressive 44 years of his life to our company. 

In his role as General Manager, Eddie plays a pivotal role in overseeing the operations at the Lillian branch, ensuring the success and growth of our company. He appreciates that his position allows him to collaborate with colleagues in addressing diverse issues and contributing to the business decision-making process.

His passion for his work is evident. He believes each day brings a new experience for him, and this attitude has brought boundless enthusiasm and innovation to our team. Mark and Mana, husband and wife and owners of EarthWorks, shared their heartfelt thoughts about Eddie’s long and enduring service. 

“When Eddie first joined our team, known then as M.C. Lawn and Landscape, he claimed to be 18 years old. We affectionately tease him that he remained 18 for several years, and remarkably, he still looks youthful. Eddie has been and continues to be an absolute blessing and an invaluable asset to us and the entire EarthWorks team.

Eddie is loyal, hardworking, intelligent, focused, adaptable, and prudent in financial stewardship. In his 44 years with the company, he has missed only two workdays, often deferred vacations, and postponed paychecks when necessary to support our cash flow. His contributions, along with those of our sons, Chris and Zac, and countless other employees over the years, have played a pivotal role in EarthWorks’ evolution into the company we are today.

During our lean years and growth phases, Eddie’s willingness to invest long hours and commitment to our vision was indispensable. Without his valued contributions, EarthWorks might have looked much different.”

As one of the longest-standing employees, he has developed his skills and knowledge through years of hard work and dedication. He has actively sought growth opportunities, attending Elevate conferences and similar events to stay updated with the latest trends and techniques in the landscaping industry. 

His dedication extends beyond the workplace. He is a devoted family man with a loving wife and two children: a 32-year-old son and a 22-year-old daughter. He enjoys the simple pleasures of life. During his spare time, he loves spending time on the beach.

For our EarthWorks employee spotlights, we make it a point to ask our team members about their favorite tree or plant. While Eddie may not have a favorite plant, he is captivated by seasonal potting plants. “I love seasonal potting plants for their myriad colors and textures – they offer a burst of color and variety to any space.” 

Over the years, he has earned the respect of his colleagues and peers by being such a dedicated worker who exemplifies the very spirit of our company. We’re so grateful for all he does for us and the impactful and humble leadership he shows his team. Thank you, Eddie, for your outstanding service and commitment to EarthWorks!
