TNLA Honors EarthWorks with Awards for Excellence in Landscaping
We’re thrilled to announce that we recently won some Texas Excellence in Landscaping (TEIL) awards at the 2023 TNLA event held in College Station, Texas. The Texas Nursery & Landscape Association (TNLA) annually honors local landscaping firms for their contributions to delivering outstanding commercial and residential installations, maintenance services, special projects, and design features. The TEIL Awards are presented in several categories and on three levels of distinction – bronze, silver, and gold as well as the much-coveted Grand Platinum Award.
EarthWorks received not one but two TEIL awards and some honorable mentions in the special project award category.
The Camden Vanderbilt project earned us a silver medal, or successfully transforming an issue-laden water fountain into a sunken dog park. The old fountain presented a host of problems for the complex, but with our help, it was completely revitalized into a beautiful sunken dog park enjoyed by both pets and their owners alike. This was Shaun Callaway’s project (VP of Houston EarthWorks).
The Bronze award was awarded for our outstanding work on the Cortland Chisholm Trail Pavilion (Bryan Gaydos, Project Manager and Kevin Narveson, Hardscape Division Manager/Estimator, managed this project). The project was completed with the goal of adding value to the client’s property with a well-designed disc golf course – complete with tee boxes, baskets, and other amenities.
We also received some honorable mentions in the special project award category for our work at Cortland Walnut Hill Sport Club in Irving (Bryan and Kevin managed this project) and Link at Twin Creeks in Allen, TX. The Link at Twin Creeks project was designed from an unused space and transformed into a vibrant and inviting area for dogs and their owners. It includes dog park play equipment, a drinking fountain, and a seating area.
“It is a great honor to be considered for the awards, let alone receive the silver and bronze awards,” said Chris Lee, President of EarthWorks Landscaping. “Receiving both awards is a true reflection of our commitment to excellence in landscaping design and installation. We sincerely thank the esteemed judges of the Texas Nursery & Landscape Association for extending us this fantastic recognition!”
